A Reminder to Remember
We all need a reminder sometimes. A reminder to smile, or to look up while walking. Maybe it’s a reminder to look someone in the eyes and say hello, being mindful and aware and truly in the moment.
You may need to remind yourself where you come from, or who you are, or what you stand for, or, most importantly, how the things you do can impact others. In other words, Are you doing the best that you can do? Are you the a reflection reflection of the company you keep?
Life calls for us to take action and accept our weaknesses as opportunities for growth, to enable us to become better fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers and friends.
Even in areas of strength, we can always sharpen our skills, and challenge ourselves. Professionals with advanced degrees or years of experience need to remind themselves that they are never done learning.
We also need to remember the faith we have within ourselves to be the best at what we do, so we can help another person, or even save another person’s life.
We need to remember that we are all members of a team; each of us as important as the next.
We must remember that it’s always ok to ask for help.
We must remember that person-to-person communication is key. We cannot allow anyone to fall through the cracks. Ever.
We must remember to follow up with someone to make sure they’re doing ok, or getting what they need. That can help create a network of trust. Trust that someone will be there for you. Trust that someone cares. Trust that someone will listen. Trust that someone understands that each and every one of us has been “there” before.
Let this be your reminder.
